Change the world through physics – Stories from Cardiff University

Originally planning to study Mechanical Engineering, it was this curiosity for understanding how things work which instead led Kavetha to join us at Cardiff University to study Physics.

She believes that physics is all about uncovering the hidden details that explain the world around us, and is passionate about making a difference and changing the world through science – understanding that it’s this discipline which can help us improve healthcare, or understand the universe for example.

Kavetha is looking to make her mark in the field of physics and will be starting a graduate scientist programme at the National Physical Laboratory. The skills she learned at Cardiff, like collaborative problem-solving and resilience under pressure will come in handy as she continues to explore the mysteries of the universe.

She wants to be part of the advancements in technology and science that will shape our future – and thanks to her foundation of education, personal growth and development from Cardiff University, we have no doubt that she will succeed.
